Joan & myself would like to say a big thank you for making our wedding day so special. everything went so smoothly and all our guests went home so happy and wanting another do the week after. please thanks all your staff for being so helpful, kind and so cheerful. a special thanks for the chef as the food was lovely and enjoyed by all. the DJ was brilliant and the dance floor was bouncing all night. thank you once again and we will recommend the sporting lodge to everyone for future functions. from start to finish nothing was too much for the staff at this hotel who bent over backwards to make sure we had a perfect day. our wedding co-ordinators, Catherine and Vicki, worked so hard from the planning stages through to the actual day, when they stayed on hand all day and night until the early hours to make sure everything went well. they accommodated all my requests easily and the chefs went out of their way to cater for my guests who had special requirements. Catherine and Vicki even got up super early to decorate the rooms and they looked really stunning; I was amazed at the transformation. the staff were smiling and helpful always, from the front desk through to our cleaner. we were made to feel like royalty during our stay. the price for the rooms was great value which enabled many of our guests to afford to stay over. our bridal suite was decorated beautifully; wine and chocolates were waiting for us and we had a lovely four-poster bed. many people commented about the reasonable prices for drinks. breakfast was good also with a great selection, from a cooked breakfast through to cereals, fruit and muffins. the children in our party enjoyed a dip in the pool and jacuzzi the morning afterwards and really enjoyed themselves. all in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a down to earth location where you will have an out of this world wedding.
